Welcome to the First JSRF Newsletter

  • by

Welcome to the first edition of the Jeremy Stom Remembrance Foundation (JSRF) eNewsletter.  Thank you for joining us in the JSRF mission to help a teen Experience Hope, and hopefully save a life along the way.  The eNewsletter will serve to communicate upcoming events and news about the JSRF.

Through many generous donations to the JSRF, we were able to sponsor our first teen at the YMCA Camp Jorn in Wisconsin for a two-week session this past summer.  Our first recipient, the son of a Veteran, experienced resident camp for the very first time!

We are all encouraged and moved by the overwhelming response to the JSRF fundraising event planned for Sunday, December 4th, at Bliss Wine in Wauconda. Tickets sold out within 2 weeks!  Regrets that more tickets were not available for all who wanted to attend this event, but for all attending, we’re looking forward to seeing you there!  A portion of all ticket & bottle sales will be donated to the JSRF.

The TreeTime coupon (valid until December 24th) included in this eNewsletter will be available at the Bliss Wine event to take home for your own holiday shopping or to pass along to others.  A portion of all TreeTime purchases made with the “JSRF” coupon code will be donated to the JSRF.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving we are very thankful to our exceptional JSRF Fundraising & Marketing committees and to YOU, our supporters.  We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

About the Foundation

Jeremy Stom Remembrance Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization that was established in loving memory of Jeremy Stom.

On April 25, 2009, one week before his 19th birthday, Jeremy lost his battle with addiction. Jeremy was a loving, kind, helpful, intelligent and courageous young man. In 2007, during a therapeutic wilderness program, Jeremy found renewed hope in himself. He became independent, learned life survival skills, grew spiritually, and discovered inner peace and joy. He also discovered a love for the outdoors.

Jeremy’s legacy will be helping adolescents Experience Hope.
