Friends of Wilton Ride

For the second year in a row, the Jeremy Stom Remembrance Foundation was chosen as the “Friends of Wilton” charitable cause.
Friends of Wilton, an affiliate of the HOG chapter of Arlington Heights, is an organization that was started by an amazing group of friends who wanted to help raise funds for charitable causes by planning events to ride motorcycles and increase awareness of needs in our surrounding communities.  Saturday’s ride was another successful event for JSRF!

Kick stands were up at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 25th at the Broken Oar Bar and Grill in Port Barrington. Twenty-one riders and seven passengers took the two-hour ride sporting specialty t-shirts that helped bring awareness to the cause.

After the ride participants and friends stayed for live music, food, drink and a $180.00 raffle. A total of $1,519.00 was raised to help teens Experience Hope through the activities and programs the Jeremy Stom Remembrance Foundation sponsors. Thanks again to Tom & Mary Gibadlo for organizing this fundraiser.

Hope Experienced

The Jeremy Stom Remembrance Foundation has helped give hope to 67 teens since its inception in 2011.  The JSRF has funded a variety of activities and supported many individual causes.  The foundation has sent teens to resident and day camps, made it possible for a homeless teen to attend a school field trip to Washington, D.C., helped teens participate on a youth football team and cheerleading squad, sent teens to Sea Cadet recruit training camp, and sponsored the entire track team (23 teens) at  Chicago Jesuit Academy, which educates children who are living in material poverty and may have experienced violence in their neighborhoods.  Thank you everyone for the generous donation of your time and money.  It truly makes a difference in the lives of these teens!

Dear, Mr. and Mrs. Stom,Thank you so much for supporting the track team and making sure that we were safe and well taken care of.  We are so appreciative of the help that you have given us.  This is my 3rd year in track and field and it really boosted up my confidence and really encouraged me to do very well in life.  Track is one of my favorite sports.  I really love doing this. Sincerely, 2016 Track leader”

“Dear Ciri,You and your foundation recently paid for my sea cadet and recruit training programs.  I wanted to thank you so much for this.  I appreciate it so much and I promise to make the most of the opportunity you’ve given me.  I aspire to be a corpsman in the navy and you’ve given me the chance to get out there, explore my options, and get on my way.  I am fully aware of your foundation and I just want you to know that what you’re doing is greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much, once again. Sincerely,”
