If you have wondered if JSRF is still operating, think no more – we are still going strong and approaching our 12th year of providing teens with unforgettable experiences of hope!
It has been a year of challenge and sadness, but also heartwarming as we continue with the mission of Jeremy’s foundation by sponsoring teens in recreational activities and providing first-time opportunities to many.
This year, JSRF sponsored 40 teens! Our teens came from the Chicago Jesuit Academy (CJA) and Lake Zurich High School (LZHS).
The students at CJA participated in an overnight camp at Camp Miniwanca in Michigan, and the students at LZHS participated in Football and Track & Field in Illinois.
It is unbelievable that JSRF has gone two years without hosting a single fundraiser.
We have missed seeing our loyal supporters in person. However, we are humbled that you continue to give generously and remember the Jeremy Stom Remembrance Foundation as a charity of choice.
Since the inception of JSRF in 2011, we have sponsored nearly 300 teens, surpassing
our initial goal of one teen per year at a maximum expense of $1,500 per teen! We
continue to be a small but mighty not-for-profit organization. In the past, we’ve had
donations as high as $10,000 and supporters who donate anywhere from $100 – $1,500
yearly (this year our maximum single donation was $2,000!). And … we never forget the
countless hours donated by the JSRF committee, and all who support us via the
AmazonSmile program and the PayPal Giving fund. It is safe to say that Jeremy &
Jean’s legacy lives on through the teens we serve. We once again thank you from the
bottom of our hearts for taking this journey with us and giving the kids an opportunity to
Experience Hope!
As we approach the end of the year, we want to wish you and your loved ones a Merry
Christmas, Happy Chanukah, and Happy New Year 2023!
Peace,Love & Gratitude,
Ciri & Scott Stom & Sayra (Stom) Pasquesi

Excerpts from CJA email to JSRF:
“I wanted to share with you the exciting news that, for the first time ever, CJA’s Robotics team has qualified for the state level competition! CJA took home the top award – the Champion’s Award – at the qualifying meet held on December 10th. The state level competition will be in January, and we hope to be assigned to the event at the University of Illinois to allow for a tour of the Grainger School of Engineering.
Your support for the Robotics team during the pandemic enabled the purchase of additional robots that allowed more of our students to gain hands-on experience and was a factor in the team’s success this year.”
